Abortion In The Church

“Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching.”
John 14:23
“The root cause of abortion is the failure to be satisfied in God as our supreme love.”
— John Piper
Heartbreaking truth:
70% of women who had abortions identified as Christian.
43% were attending church at least monthly at the time.
1 in 4 American women will have an abortion by age 45 — and the church is not far behind.
Why?
We’ve made converts, but not disciples. We’ve been seeker-friendly instead of Scripture-saturated. Biblical literacy is dangerously low — only about 13% of Christians have ever read the entire Bible.
Low Bible knowledge leads to moral confusion and cultural compromise.
The answer isn’t to make converts who attend church.
It’s discipleship.
Jesus commanded us: “Go and make disciples… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
Real change starts in the heart.
When we truly know God through His Word, we want to obey Him.
When we obey Him, we stop harming the innocent.
Read your Bible.
Obey your Bible.
Teach others to do the same.
That’s how the church — and our nation — will change.
“Blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”
Luke 11:28
Let’s stop just hearing.
Let’s start obeying.
