All In For Christ

All In For Christ

“Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.” Philippians 3:8

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose. I am all in for Christ—my life, my future, my everything. The only way to live is to lose it all for Him.” Jim Elliot (missionary martyr)

Jim Elliot lived Philippians 3:8. He was all in for Jesus. He laid down his life as a missionary to reach those who’d never heard His name.

When God saved me, that was my heart too. I wanted to go where no one knew Jesus. I was overwhelmed by His love and forgiveness—by what He did on the cross. Love makes us do radical things. How much more should love for Jesus move us?

Do we count everything as loss to gain Christ? How do we stay in that place? We remember what He did. He gave His life for us. How can we give Him anything less?

Too often we just add Jesus to our existing plans. But everything in this world will pass away. Eternity is forever. I’m going after what lasts.

I want to be all in like Jim Elliot—giving my life fully to Jesus. He’s worthy. Remember what He did. Ask Him today: “What’s my part? How can I re-sign up? How can I live for You? Spend more time with You? Tell people about You?”

Let’s give our lives completely to Him. He wants to know us. He wants His lost children to know Him. That’s how we keep zeal alive and see revival in our homes and communities.

Go all in for Jesus.

Have a great day living for what lasts!
