Bless the Lord

Bless the Lord

“Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!” — Psalm 72:19

“God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him. Praise exists because God is worthy, not because we are needy.” — John Piper

Praise isn’t for us—it’s for Him! We don’t worship to “get filled up”; we come to glorify God. When we bless His name and share the gospel, people see He’s worthy—and we’re undone by His glory. It starts with Him, not us. Worship is about His worthiness, not our feelings.

Yet here’s the beauty: when we get low and give Him glory, we’re filled with His joy and presence. As His people do this, the earth fills with His glory. Missions exists because worship doesn’t—God’s glory shines when we worship Him. The gospel reconciles us to Him for His glory, and that’s what transforms us.

Eleven years ago, I encountered His glory, bowed my knee, and worshiped—not to get something, but to give Him what He deserves. The fruit of the Spirit flooded in. Lasting change comes when we focus on His worthiness.

It’s all about Him. That’s how His glory fills the earth—when we bless His name like Psalm 72 declares.

This morning, I got on my face and praised Him—it set me on fire. Try it today.

Have a great day! Give God the glory He deserves, and let praise fill your heart!
