Faithful With a Little

Faithful With a Little

“And he said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! Because you have been faithful in a very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’” — Luke 19:17 (ESV)

“Faithfulness in little things leads to faithfulness in great things. God does not give great work to those who have not been faithful in the small duties of life.” — Charles Spurgeon

Faithfulness is a quiet, powerful fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). It’s not flashy, but it’s essential. Jesus modeled it perfectly—faithful to His Father and mission all the way to the cross.

The principle is simple: faithful with little, entrusted with much. Unfaithful in small things, you’ll likely crumble under greater responsibility. We see it with lottery winners who gain wealth without character to steward it.

Be faithful today—in the everyday:
- With God: daily time in His presence.
- With family: prioritize them (1 Timothy 5:8 warns neglecting them is worse than unbelief).
- At work: work heartily for the Lord (Colossians 3:23).
- In service: show up at church, disciple someone, serve quietly.

Faithfulness may not get applause, but it’s what God values most. Steady, steadfast men and women change the world.

Let’s be faithful with the little—so God can trust us with the harvest ahead.

Have a great day! Stay faithful in the small things, and watch God open doors for greater ones.
