Save America

“Remember the word that you commanded your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the peoples, but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them… from there I will gather them and bring them to the place that I have chosen, to make my name dwell there.’” Nehemiah 1:8–9
“Though we have been unfaithful and scattered by our sin, God remembers His Word: if we return to Him and obey His commands, He will gather, restore, and renew. Our hope is not in our strength, but in His covenant mercy.”
As I read this, I can’t help but think about where we are today. There is so much division, confusion, and brokenness. It feels like we are scattered — not physically, but in heart, in unity, and in purpose.
But the answer hasn’t changed.
When Nehemiah saw the condition of his people, he didn’t start with a strategy. He didn’t point fingers. He didn’t look for a political solution. He went to God. He fasted. He prayed. He repented — not just for others, but for himself and his people. And then he reminded God of His promises.
That’s where restoration begins.
If we want to see healing, it won’t come first through better systems or stronger leaders. It starts when God’s people return to Him — when we humble ourselves, seek His face, and walk in obedience.
We are called to be a people who are blessed to be a blessing. But we can’t give away what we are not living in. Renewal in the nation begins with renewal in the hearts of God’s people.
So today, let’s start where Nehemiah started:
Pray
Fast
Repent
Return to God
Obey His Word
And trust that He is still faithful to restore.
Lord, bring healing. Restore what is broken. Turn our hearts back to You. We need You.
