What Is True?

“So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, ‘If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’” — Gospel of John 8:31–32
“The freedom Jesus promises is not the freedom to do what we want, but the freedom to delight in what is true. And that comes from abiding in His Word.” — John Piper
Everyone is searching for truth right now.
It feels harder than ever to know what’s real. People ask about current events, what’s happening in the world, what’s true and what’s not—and honestly, a lot of times I don’t have all the answers. There’s so much noise, confusion, misinformation, and now even AI that makes things harder to discern.
But as I was thinking about that this morning, something hit me—and it brought real peace:
There is one thing I am absolutely sure of—Jesus is real.
I know He’s real because when I put my faith in Him and began abiding in His Word, my life changed. I experienced real freedom. Not surface-level change—deep, lasting transformation that only truth can produce.
Jesus didn’t just teach truth—He said:
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” — Gospel of John 14:6
We may not have every answer to everything happening in the world—but we do have the answer to what is ultimately true.
Jesus is the truth.
So get to know Him. Abide in His Word. Let that truth shape your life.
And then go help others find that same truth they’re searching for.
That’s how we bring clarity into a confused world.
Have a great day.
