Shannon Greene

Shannon Greene is the pastor of First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs (since November 2022) and Camden United Methodist Church (since July 2025). She is a provisional elder in the Missouri Conference of the United Methodist Church and has been approved for full ordination in June 2026. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Youth and Family Ministry from MidAmerica Nazarene University, a Master of Arts in Christian Formation and Discipleship from Nazarene Theological Seminary, and a Master of Divinity from Saint Paul School of Theology.

Shannon married her high school sweetheart, Randy, in July 2009. They live in the Waldo neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri, along with their highly anxious dog, Jack. She enjoys cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs, drinking good coffee, reading all kinds of books, and singing along to Taylor Swift.

Shannon is passionate about discipleship and writing curriculum, and she has developed Bible study materials and resources for several publications. Her greatest desire is to see God's Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
